Marc Newell joins bmi as Western Regional Sales Director

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Marc Newell, a 20 year veteran in the travel industry based in the San Francisco area, has been named Western Regional Sales Director for bmi, the UK's second largest scheduled airline. In his new position, Newell is responsible for key sales, marketing efforts and development of business strategies to maintain more than 150 accounts throughout the West. His sales territory includes the following states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming

Newell most recently was a sales manager for Alitalia where during his tenure, he increased sales annually over targeted amount. Prior to joining Alitalia, Newell was sales manager for Korean Airlines. His past sales experience encompasses working as a travel manager for a music production company and several years as a senior travel counselor for American Express, Rosenbluth and Navigant.
