Iberia Flights from Boston to Madrid Starting May 6

MIAMI, Feb. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Iberia will commence flights from Boston to Madrid as of May 6 with five (5) frequencies a week, and will be the only airline offering non-stop flights between the capital of Massachusetts and Madrid.

The Iberia flight departing Boston will operate as IB6260, departing at 18:20, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, arriving in Madrid-Barajas Airport at 07:20 the following morning. This enables passengers to connect with the first flights to other Spanish and European cities. The inbound flight will operate as IB6261, departing Madrid at 13:25 and arriving in Boston at 15:40.

All of Iberia's transatlantic flights operate from the ultramodern T4 Terminal at Madrid-Barajas Airport. Passengers arriving from Boston may continue their journey to another 34 Spanish cities, 37 European destinations and 10 cities in Africa and the Middle East. Iberia offers 4 VIP lounges in Terminal 4, which are considered among the best in the world, and allows smooth and comfortable connections for Iberia's Business Plus customers.

The flights will operate with Airbus A340-300 aircraft, with a capacity of 260 passengers, in which Iberia offers its Business Plus service for corporate customers.

Boston will be Iberia's fourth destination in the United States with non- stop flights to Madrid, together with Chicago, Miami, and New York.

In addition, Iberia offers flights from 18 cities in the United States, such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Denver, Seattle, Houston, Dallas, Phoenix, Philadelphia, and San Diego, among others, with American Airlines code-share flights.

Today, Iberia is Spain's leading airline and also leader on routes linking Europe with Latin America. It posted 2005 sales of more than 5,6 billion euros, and net earnings of 396 million euros. It is also distinguished by its commitment to socially and environmentally responsible conduct. Along with its franchise partner Iberia Regional, Iberia operates some 1,000 flights each day to about 100 different destinations. Last year Iberia carried a total of 32.4 million passengers. It is a charter member of the oneworld airline alliance, along with Aer Lingus, American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, LAN Chile, and Qantas.
