Huge Gap for China's Civil Helicopters: Estimated 2000 Units by 2010

HONG KONG, July 15 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- With it's continued economic development, China's demand for helicopters is rising every year. Helicopters are needed not only by military forces but also by public programs. They are widely used in disaster relief, emergency response, fire fighting, patrol, policing, aero photography, tourism, material delivery and many other areas.

In the aftermath of the Wenchuan Earthquake, helicopters played a significant role in relief efforts, causing problems like insufficient numbers of helicopters, as well as imbalanced distribution to be exposed. Compared to developed countries, China's helicopter market is still in its infancy and has huge potential for growth. According to some estimates, by 2010 China's demand for civil helicopters will reach 2000 units, and possibly 10,000 by 2020, with a total market valuation of $100 billion. Currently, China's own helicopter industry is nearly blank, relying almost entirely on imports.

Fairtheworld.com has assessed the civil automobile, yacht and helicopter industries, among others, and has found that given China's economic growth in recent years, public program institutions and individuals are in need of more of these products. The country's civil helicopter reserve hardly compares to that of Sao Paulo (Brazil) and is only 1/50 of that of the U.S. Amidst the recent financial turmoil, the global helicopter industry should keep an eye on China's emerging market. China's huge foreign exchange reserve and eager demand in this respect promises a bright prospect for enterprises that are committed to China.

In response to the industry's current situation, Fairtheworld.com has put in place a Tourism/Sports Hall in its in-house "Fair N Fair" 3D Virtual Expo platform. It welcomes global high-end helicopter enterprises to its Expo. Industrial chains will be forged by the entrance of helicopter manufactures, helicopter parts suppliers and associated renting and training agencies. This will allow enterprises in "Fair N Fair" to optimize resource allocation and expand business opportunities. At the same time, Chinese helicopter enterprises and investors can contact global professionals from various industries and explore cooperation opportunities.
