Hawaiian Holdings Added to Russell 3000 Index

HONOLULU, June 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Hawaiian Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: HA) ("Holdings" or "the Company"), parent company of Hawaiian Airlines, Inc. ("Hawaiian"), today announced that it has been added to the Russell 3000(R) Index.

The Russell 3000 Index is market cap weighted and measures the performance of the largest 3000 common stocks incorporated in the United States and its territories. The index was constructed to provide a comprehensive barometer of the broad market. It is reconstituted annually to capture new and growing equities.

"Being added to the Russell 3000 index is a major accomplishment for Hawaiian. It is recognition of our achievements, growth and Hawaiian's strengthened market position in our industry," commented Mark Dunkerley, president and chief executive officer. "We believe our inclusion in this well known index will help us bring Hawaiian's story to a wider audience of institutional investors which will more closely align our market capitalization with the company's performance."

The Russell 3000 also serves as the U.S. component to the Russell Global(R)Index, which Russell launched last year. Russell indexes are widely used by investment managers and institutional investors for index funds and as benchmarks for both passive and active investment strategies. An industry-leading $4.4 trillion in assets currently are benchmarked to them.
