DENVER,
Jan. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Today, Frontier Airlines
(Nasdaq: FRNT) will receive the
Martin Luther King, Jr. Business Social
Responsibility Award: a high honor bestowed upon individual business people,
corporations and non-profit organizations who have contributed to the
Denver
community.
Each year, the award committee rewards the nominees who best represent the
spirit of the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., embracing concepts of equal
opportunity for all, promotion of good will toward people and encouragement of
programs which make the world a better place.
"Frontier believes strongly in the concept of corporate responsibility and
we strive to instill that value in everything we do," said Frontier Manager of
Community Relations, Jennifer Gunn. "While we are extremely honored to receive
this award and to be mentioned in the same sentence as a great man like Martin
Luther King, Jr., we are also grateful to have the opportunity to give back to
the Denver community for all the support it has shown Frontier. Thank you to
all the Frontier employees who helped us earn this prestigious award, and we
look forward to many more years of giving back to our hometown of Denver."
The award ceremony will take place in Denver at the 23rd annual Martin
Luther King, Jr. Business Social Responsibility Award Luncheon, hosted by the
Marriott City Center Hotel at 11:45 a.m. Proceeds from this event will be
donated to the Colorado Scholarship Coalition, who will select and award
Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarships.
