DENVER,
Oct. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT)
today announced preliminary traffic results for
September 2007. Revenue
passenger miles increased 26.0 percent to 776,607,000 for
September 2007 from
the same period last year. Available seat miles increased 9.4 percent to
996,914,000 for
September 2007 from the same period last year. This resulted
in a load factor for
September 2007 of 77.9 percent, an increase of 10.3
points from
September 2006, when the airline reported a load factor of 67.6
percent. September 2007's 77.9 percent load factor is the highest in the
airline's history during the month of September.
The airline carried 823,487 passengers during September 2007, a 21.8
percent increase from September 2006. The airline reported passenger yield of
9.79 cents for the month of September 2007, a decrease of 5.7 percent from the
same period last year. Its passenger revenue per available seat mile was 7.63
cents, up .61 cents or 8.7 percent from September 2006. For the month of
September 2007, the airline's average length of haul increased 3.4 percent to
943 miles as compared to the same period last year.
