GAViS(TM) is an affordable, compact, lightweight infrared sensor that
provides a video image of the aircraft's forward environment at night and in
low visibility conditions. In designing the GAViS(TM) system, Elbit Systems
of America has leveraged the same key technology that was developed for the
award winning EVS II used in all Gulfstream aircraft.
Raanan Horowitz, President and CEO of Elbit Systems of America stated,
"Sikorsky's helicopters are known for their superior track record of safety
and innovation. We are pleased to be working with a partner like Pro Star
Aviation, who shares our vision of a safer industry, to further enhance these
capabilities. Our GAViS(TM) technology provides significant improvement in
situational awareness and safety, especially beneficial for aircraft's
supporting critical missions and needs. "
GAViS(TM) is the ideal choice for smaller aircraft, such as the S-76,
where there is limited space available for installation. Its compact size (3
inches high, 6 inches wide and 11.5 inches long) allows for flexible
installation options. Installation of the Kollsman GAViS(TM) sensor is simple
due to its hermetically sealed, aerodynamic housing which is designed for
exterior mounting.
Pro Star Aviation has extensive experience working on avionics for the
Sikorsky S-76 helicopter. Over the last 10 years Pro Star Aviation has worked
with numerous Fortune 100 companies that operate S-76 helicopters. Pro Star
Aviation facilities in Londonderry, New Hampshire include a 17,000sq ft
hangar with 4,000sq ft of shop and office space as well as a 3,500sq ft
office building at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (KMHT) in New Hampshire.
