Delta TechOps Signs $55 Million Deal with Star Air

Deal outlines exclusive power-by-the-hour contract with Delta TechOps

ATLANTA, March 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Delta Air Lines’ (NYSE: DAL) maintenance division - Delta TechOps - has inked an exclusive eight-year power-by-the-hour (PBH) contract extension with Copenhagen-based Star Air. The contract calls for Delta TechOps to provide engine overhaul and repair services for the 22 CF6-80A2/C2 engines that power Star Air’s fleet of 11 Boeing 767-200SF cargo aircraft. The deal, worth more than $55 million, provides the Star Air B767 fleet with Delta TechOps’ signature Complete Fleet™ services, including comprehensive engine, Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) and component support.

Star Air, part of the A.P.Moller-Maersk Group, is a Danish cargo airline specializing in providing highly reliable cargo lift capacity.
