Clear Readies Landing in Boston with Delta Air Lines to Provide Fast Pass Access at Logan?s Terminal A

Clear Members Will Soon Speed Through Security Making Travel with Delta Even Faster and More Convenient

NEW YORK,Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Clear,® the leader in providing fast access through airport security, today announced it will open its signature fast pass lanes at Terminal A security checkpoints at Boston’s Logan International Airport this month. All Clear members will not only have fast access through the Clear lanes at Boston’s Terminal A, where Delta Air Lines’ departure gates are located, but at 18 other airports nationwide including those in the northeast corridor’s shuttle route from Boston to Washington, DC.

“Boston Logan International Airport is one of the country’s busiest -- which is tailor-made for the benefits of Clear,” said Clear’s CEO Steven Brill. “Our relationship with Delta in Boston represents a significant expansion of our fast pass program. We’ll be continuing our rollout at Delta terminals this year and in 2009 at other major airports,” he added.

Clear member, Millie Tarallo, Director of Field Services for Boston-area giant Staples, Inc. said, “I am extremely excited to hear Clear is coming to Boston! I use Clear when traveling in Orlando, and have countless examples of how Clear has zipped me right through security, past the tourists queuing up in long lines.” She added, “I am always confident when meetings go late that I will still catch my flight on time.”

Boston resident and Clear member, Jack DiMaio, Corporate/Dealer, Network Trainer and Special Events Coordinator for Pirelli Tire NA LLC, said “I've been long awaiting the Clear network to arrive at Logan Airport.” He continued, “Needless to say, I was excited to get the recent announcement that Clear is opening here, and even more excited that Clear's first stop is at Delta. Delta is my airline of choice. I spend approximately 70% of my time flying around North America. Being able to bypass long security queues certainly saves me a lot of time, especially when I'm running a little late.”

“We’re pleased to offer Delta customers traveling to and from Boston’s Logan International Airport this convenient service designed to make travel faster and easier,” said Lee Macenczak, Delta’s executive vice president of Sales and Marketing.

Clear, with over 200,000 sign-ups and nearly 1.5 million identity verifications at its lanes, will also operate an enrollment center in Terminal A at Logan, where Boston’s fliers can apply for the membership card that provides access to fast security lanes at 18 other participating airports. In addition to operating more than three dozen enrollment locations at airports and at convenient downtown locations, Clear also performs bulk, in-office membership enrollments. So far this year, Clear has conducted nearly 100 on-site enrollment days at corporate offices, law firms and government offices.

Clear members are pre-screened and, after application completion which involves providing iris and fingerprint images, receive a card that allows access to Clear’s security lanes nationwide. Clear lanes, which feature concierge staff whose assistance speeds throughput while making passage through security more hassle-free, are already operating in airports in Denver, Indianapolis, Orlando, San Francisco, New York’s JFK and LaGuardia airports, and Washington DC’s Reagan National and Dulles International airports, among others.

Clear customers experience a level of predictability, convenience, and efficiency in air travel. For example, the concierge staff in Clear’s security lanes ready X-ray bins for each passenger and then help them retrieve their personal items at the other side of the magnetometer.

Clear was recently chosen by Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to operate a program there. Clear’s fast lanes are expected to open there this month.

Delta customers who start the membership enrollment process at www.flyclear.com/delta receive 1500 SkyMiles when they enroll in Clear. Applicants can then complete their enrollments at a Clear enrollment center, where they have their fingerprints and iris images captured. Clear enrollment centers are located in airports with Clear programs and also at convenient city locations, including New York’s Grand Central Terminal in midtown Manhattan and at the American Express Travel Office at 14th and K Streets in Washington, DC. To locate a Clear enrollment station nationwide, customers can visit flyclear.com.

Clear cardholders also receive special benefits with their membership, such as fast entry to stadiums including the Georgia Dome, San Francisco’s Candlestick Park, and Denver’s INVESCO Field at Mile High, during home team football games.
