Boeing Vice President Bob Watt Earns Edwin T. Pratt Award

SEATTLE, Dec. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle honored Boeing's (NYSE: BA) Bob Watt with its Edwin T. Pratt Award on Dec. 14, during the league's eighth annual Benefit Breakfast in Seattle.

The Edwin T. Pratt Award, the group's highest honor, is bestowed annually to an individual or organization in recognition of significant support to the services offered by the league. Watt, Boeing vice president of State and Local Government Relations and Global Corporate Citizenship in the Northwest Region, said he is humbled by the award and urged the audience to always work hard toward a better tomorrow.

"We must all aim to be shapers of what might be, not servants of what is," Watt said. "We must not be deterred by our own flaws nor the flaws of humankind, we must persist even when the odds seem long and the critics loud, because the future depends on our willingness to sacrifice, to risk, to be dissatisfied with the way things are and to dream and work for a world that too few imagine could ever exist."

Watt recognized Boeing and its employees and retirees for their commitment to the communities where they live and work.

Washington Gov. Christine Gregoire thanked Watt for his dedication and passion to child advocacy.
