Airlines, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, will launch two daily
round-trip flights from Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport in
Springfield, Ill.,
to Chicago O'Hare International Airport beginning
Nov. 2. That same day, the
two daily round-trip flights operated by AmericanConnection carrier Trans
States Airlines from
Springfield to Lambert St. Louis International Airport
will end.
"We look forward to serving the local Springfield market with flights to
our hub at Chicago O'Hare," said Peter Bowler, President and CEO of American
Eagle. "From O'Hare, Springfield passengers can easily connect to more than
430 daily flights that American Eagle and American Airlines will operate to
dozens of domestic and international destinations in November."

will offer many more connecting options throughout the American Airlines

Airport. "The direct connection through Chicago will provide more one stop

The flights will be flown using 44-seat Embraer Regional Jets. Here is
