announced today an increase in its service to
Colombia,
South America,
effective
Dec. 13, 2007, when it adds 14 roundtrips per week to its existing
service between its
Miami hub and
Colombia.
The service additions include new daily -- seven times a week -- service
between Miami and Barranquilla featuring American's 148-seat Boeing 737-800
aircraft with 16 seats in the First Class cabin and 132 seats in the Coach
cabin.
In addition to that new service, American will increase its existing
service between Miami and Medellin. American's current daily service -- seven
flights a week -- will increase by three additional weekly roundtrips. The
three new flights between Miami and Medellin will operate on Monday, Thursday
and Saturday. That service will also be flown with American's Boeing 737-800
planes.
Finally, American will further increase its extensive service, currently
two roundtrips a day, between Miami and Bogota. American now flies the route
with 219-seat Boeing 767-300 and 267-seat Airbus A300 aircraft. Four
roundtrips a week will be added to the Miami-Bogota service using American's
188-seat Boeing 757 aircraft. Those additional flights will operate on
Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday southbound -- Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
and Monday northbound.

Colombian market."
American will also continue to serve Cali with its daily service -- seven
times a week, flown with Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

which begins Dec. 14:
