adding three destinations in
Brazil to its route network this November
--
Salvador,
Recife and
Belo Horizonte -- and to celebrate the airline is
offering special introductory fares to all three cities for travel through
next May, as well as double AAdvantage(R) miles for travel through
mid-February 2009.
American, a founding member of the global oneworld(R) Alliance, will start
daily flights from Miami to Salvador and Recife on Nov. 2, and begin three
times weekly flights from Miami to Belo Horizonte on Nov. 4. American's hub
in Miami makes all three Brazilian destinations easily accessible from dozens
of other cities as well.
American's introductory fares start as low as $425* each way (with
required round-trip purchase), making a trip to Brazil as affordable as it is
convenient. And with double AAdvantage miles** to all three new destinations,
traveling to Brazil will be rewarding as well.

Recife are valid for travel Monday-Thursday. Fares shown to Belo Horizonte

Fares do not include (a) a federal excise tax of $3.50 per U.S. domestic
flight segment, defined as one takeoff and landing, of a passenger's

Tickets must be purchased at least 14 days prior to departure or within

Fares shown to Salvador and Recife are valid for travel beginning Nov. 2,
2008-May 28, 2009. Fares shown to Belo Horizonte are valid for travel
beginning Nov. 4, 2008-May 28, 2009. For all three destinations, travel must
be completed by May 31, 2009. To Brazil, travel is not valid Jan. 1-31, 2009
or Feb. 25-March 2, 2009. From Brazil, travel is not valid Dec. 12, 2008-Jan.
18, 2009 or Feb. 12-21, 2009. Travel to/from Salvador and Recife must be via
AA flight 980. Travel to/from Belo Horizonte must be via AA flights 991/992.
A three-day minimum stay is required, and a 90-day maximum stay is allowed.
Advertised fares are valid only on American Airlines, American Eagle, and
the AmericanConnection(R) airlines and do not apply to other codeshare
flights. Seats are limited. Fares may not be available on all flights.

Fares are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Changes to your ticket may
be made if you meet the restrictions of the new fare and pay up to a US$200
fee plus any fare difference. Changes must be made before your ticketed
flight's scheduled departure time. If you cancel your flight prior to the
scheduled departure time, the ticket will be valid for one year from the date
of issue for an unused ticket or one year from travel origination for a
partially used ticket. If you do not cancel your flight prior to the
scheduled departure time, the ticket has no value.
