FORT WORTH, Texas,
June 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Airlines
today announced the launch of a new and much-anticipated price and schedule
travel booking tool on its Web site, AA.com.
American enlisted help from customers in developing and testing its new
booking tool to ensure it is user friendly and intuitive. With the tool,
customers can now search not just by price or by schedule but by both price
and schedule combined. They can see flight choices in a convenient display of
all pertinent information -- schedule, price and level of service -- and can
check prices based on departure and return portions of a roundtrip
independently.
"We're excited to offer our customers even more control over their travel
planning with our new booking tool," said Rob Friedman, Managing Director --
Interactive Marketing at American. "Now they can see at a glance how their
choices impact price and make the best decisions based on their personal
preferences."
Customers can now better customize travel plans according to their
individual priorities since the new display also allows travelers to sort
results by expanded criteria such as price, number of stops, and departure and
arrival times. Additionally, the new display provides easy access to detailed
flight information. A simple click will enlarge a selection and provide
additional flight details including travel time, seat maps, AAdvantage(R)
miles, aircraft type, and meal availability. Visit http://www.aa.com/book for
more details.
New Payment Option
American also announced today a new "Fly Now, Pay Later" deferred payment
option. This new payment option allows holders of the American Airlines Credit
Card(SM) account to enjoy six months of no payments and no interest* for
tickets purchased at AA.com. Getting an account is easy. Simply visit
http://www.aa.com/paylater to apply for this offer. Most customers will
receive an answer on approval in less than a minute. Once approved, customers

These enhancements to AA.com are the latest in a series of changes this
year aimed at making American's award-winning Web site even more comprehensive
and convenient for customers. With the introduction of http://AA.com/espanol
in January and a new AAdvantage award booking feature in February, American
continues to grow its online product offerings for the more than 1.4 million
customers who visit AA.com on an average weekday.
