AirTran and Its Pilots Reach a Tentative Agreement on New Contract

ATLANTA, Aug. 23 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- AirTran and the National Pilots Association have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract, which the NPA Board of Directors has endorsed and is encouraging its 1,450 active members to ratify as their new collective bargaining agreement.

This tentative agreement supersedes the Company's "last final offer" that was put out to the pilot group for a ratification vote last week. The electronic ballot will be reset and remain open until noon, Friday, September 21 at 12:00PM EDT. The NPA will announce the results of that vote at 1:00PM EDT.
