AirTran Airways Steps Up Service From Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla., March 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), announced today that it will expand its service from Orlando International Airport by adding new flights to San Diego, Calif., one of its recently announced new destinations. Effective June 29, 2007, the airline will introduce new flights two days a week between Orlando and San Diego. AirTran Airways recently announced weekly service to Portland, Maine, from Orlando effective June 9, 2007.

"Since announcing our new service between our Atlanta hub and San Diego, we've been overwhelmed with requests to fly nonstop from Orlando," said Kevin Healy, vice president of planning for AirTran Airways. With the addition of these flights, AirTran Airways will offer Orlando customers 382 weekly departures to 30 nonstop destinations, constituting more departures from Orlando than at any other time in the airline's history.

The following nonstop service between Orlando International Airport and San Diego International Airport is available beginning June 29, 2007:
