Air China Wins Best China Airline Award

BEIJING, Sept. 27 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Air China Limited (Air China) announces that it has been named the "Best China Airline" in the 16th Annual Business Traveller Asia-Pacific Awards. This is the third consecutive year that Air China has won this prestigious award.

Mr. Liu Pei Zhi, Vice President of Air China, accepted the award during a ceremony hosted by Business Traveller Magazine in Hong Kong on September 18, 2008. The results of the Awards are based on an annual Readers' poll conducted and analysed by Business Traveller Asia-Pacific and Synovate, a market research company. Business Traveller Asia Pacific is one of the most influential magazines in the travel and tourism industry. The magazine is published in the Asian regions covering countries and cities including Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand and Australia.

Air China operates a fleet of 231 aircraft mainly composed of Boeing and Airbus aircraft. The Company's network covers 285 domestic and international routes, serving 125 domestic and international destinations in 28 countries and regions. With the strategic goals to enhance our competitive strength internationally; to continue to improve our development capability; to offer a more unique customer experience; and to achieve sustainable long-term growth, the Company always strives to improve its operations, management and service quality. This was the second time that Air China was listed in the world top 500 brands since 2007 with its ranking moving up 42 positions compared to last year. The Company is the only China airline being named as a top brand worldwide.
