Aerojet Successfully Delivers TOW Bunker Buster Production Units

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Nov. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Aerojet, a GenCorp (NYSE: GY) company, announced today that it has completed production and delivery of 3,178 TOW Bunker Buster Warhead Assemblies to Raytheon Missile Systems.

Raytheon's Tube-launched, Optically-tracked, Wireless (TOW) missile family is the world's premier long-range precision weapon system for use against armored vehicles, fortified buildings and amphibious landing ships. Bunker Buster is a recently qualified warhead variant to the TOW missile. The fragmenting, high-explosive warhead used in the TOW Bunker Buster missile can breach or destroy a multitude of target sets, especially in the urban environment. Raytheon integrates the warhead into the Bunker Buster missile at its production facility in Tucson, Ariz.

Aerojet is also under subcontract to produce warheads for the TOW 2A and TOW 2B missiles. Its TOW warhead production activity is conducted at three of its sites across the U.S. -- Sacramento, Calif., Camden, Ark. and Socorro, N.M. -- with final delivery out of the Socorro facility. To date, Aerojet has delivered more than 60,000 TOW warheads.

Aerojet is a world-recognized aerospace and defense leader principally serving the missile and space propulsion, defense and armaments markets. GenCorp is a leading technology-based manufacturer of aerospace and defense products and systems with a real estate segment that includes activities related to the entitlement, sale, and leasing of the company's excess real estate assets.
