Now that the FAA is completing the foundational aspects of NextGen, the agency is working with the aviation industry to deploy more immediate benefits and capabilities produced by Air Traffic Management modernization for commercial and charter airlines and the flying public.
Avionics for NextGen 2015 will bring together key industry stakeholders, including airlines, pilots, air traffic controllers and avionics manufacturers, to discuss their experiences, challenges and solutions with the implementation of these new technologies.

 

 
Heidi Williams

Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA)
 
Heidi Williams is the Vice President, Air Traffic Services and Modernization for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association “AOPA.” Having spent the past 20 years in the aviation industry, she has a strong general aviation background as both a pilot and aviation advocate.   
 
During the past thirteen years serving AOPA members, Heidi has worked and managed AOPA’s advocacy on a range of issues including Airports, Air Traffic, Regulatory and Certification Policy. In her current role, she leads a capable team that formulates all policy related to Air Traffic Modernization, Airspace, Air Traffic Control, Aeronautical Information Services and Aviation Weather Services.
 
Heidi is a commercial instrument rated pilot and Certified Flight Instructor with a BS in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
