Prince William Earns Helo License

The Royal Air Force has announced that Prince William has completed basic singe-engine helicopter flight training, and is now scheduled to advance to multi-engine school in furtherance of his military career. The 26-year-old grandson of the Queen of England received his basic training in the Eurocopter AS350B and will now move up to the Griffin, the RAF’s version of the Bell 412EP helicopter, at the Defense Helicopter Flying School at RAF Shawbury. His younger brother, Prince Harry, is also at Shawbury undergoing basic rotorcraft training. For additional information
