Malaysia Military Selects EC175

The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) has selected Eurocopter’s EC-725 Cougar as the replacement for its fleet of Sikorsky 40 S-61 Sea Kings, beating out the AgustaWestland EH-101, the Boeing CH-47F and the Mi-17. The agreement is for a total of 12 helicopters, eight of which will go to the RMAF with four others going to the Malaysian Army. The contract is reported to be worth $600 million. For related news
