Ian Parker Bio

Ian ParkerAerospace journalist and pilot
Ianfliesrussian@aol.com

Ian Parker has been an aerospace journalist and aerobatic pilot since 1980. He started his career writing for Flight International and then edited a number of niche publications including those covering civil and military helicopters, launch vehicles and spacecraft, and aerospace materials. During the late 1990s, he served as European correspondent for Rotor & Wing magazine.

Now, Ian is launch editor of www.windtunnelweb.com, a website/newsletter about how wind tunnels will be of ever-increasing importance in reducing fuel consumption, drag, noise, and therefore pollution in these days of spiraling fuel costs and increasing pressure on the environment. He serves as editor of the website’s ancillary periodical, Global Wind Tunnel Journal.
