Susan Fournier

Susan Fournier is head of the aviation maintenance consulting firm, AeroPro, based in Freeport, Maine. She has spent the last 30 years in aviation maintenance. She started her career in the Air Force and transitioned to civil aviation working for FBOs in Colorado, California and the Puget Sound area where she eventually landed a position as an Airworthiness Inspector with the Federal Aviation Administration. In 2001, she left the FAA to start a successful maintenance consulting business. Since that time she has assisted many applicants in achieving Part 145 Repair Station status both foreign and domestic.

Her latest endeavor has been to create the Aviation Designee Association (www.avdes.org) for which she is Managing Director. The organization will represent member Designated Airworthiness Representatives, Designated Engineering Representatives, Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representatives and Organization Designation Authorization holders. 

Over the years Susan has been the recipient of many awards, including the 1998 FAA Maintenance Field Inspector of the Year. She is a certificated Airframe and Powerplant Technician and maintains an Inspection Authorization. She is also an FAA Designated Airworthiness Representative for both maintenance and manufacturing, and is an FAA FAAST team member.
