By Katie Kriz, Assistant Managing Editor

Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance Trust (KSSAAT) has ordered an AgustaWestland AW 169 twin-engine helicopter for emergency medical service missions in the UK. KSSAAT will be the first HEMS operator in the area to use an AW169, expected to enter service in the fall of 2015. The helicopter will be operated by Specialist Aviation Services (SAS). KSSAAT currently operates two MD Helicopter MD902s out of bases located at Marden in Kent and Redhill in Surrey, UK.
