India's RFP for Attacks

Hours after A.K. Antony assumed title as India's defence minister of the country's new United Political Alliance government, a request for proposal for 22 attack helicopters for the Indian Air Force was sent to five vendors. Boeing, Bell, Eurocopter, Kazan and AgustaWestland are in the running to replace the IAF's fleet of Mi-35s. The contract could be worth up to $600 million. For related news
