Forum Focuses on Building a Safety Culture

Industry leaders and operators will focus on the challenge of establishing a safety culture this week at FlightSafety International's fourth annual Helicopter Safety Forum. Scheduled for May 8-9 at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, the forum will include discussions on safety management systems, transitioning from military to civilian flight, risk assessment and management, inadvertent IMC procedures and night operations, and controlled flight into terrain.  The event is sponsored in part by Rotor & Wing. Representatives from the FAA, U.S. National Transportation Safety Board, Helicopter Assn International, the emergency medical services, law enforcement, and offshore support sectors, and insurance companies are slated to participate.
