Heli-Expo Show Day: Whelen Brings Newest LEDs to Show

WHELEN ENGINEERING HAS BROADened its line of LED (light-emitting diode) navigation and landing lights with several new aircraft products, all of which will be on display here.

In 2007, Whelen’s aviation lighting division had a banner year, developing more than 20 new items for the aviation industry. These items include the brilliant model 71080 anti-collision light, the model 71125 look-down hoist cable-illuminating system, and the gooseneck model 71144 interior chart light. The mount-anywhere Model 71210 is the centerpiece of the Whelen’s newest products, which offer small, energy-efficient landing lights that can be mounted in a helicopter’s nose or recessed to conform various part of the fuselage.
