FAA has confirmed that a U.S. Marines AH-1 Cobra helicopter was involved in a mid-air collision with a Coast Guard C-130 transport over the Pacific Ocean Thursday night. Coast Guard and Navy search parties have descended to the site of the crash, about 25 miles east of San Clemente Island off the coast of southern California. Rescue personnel have spotted debris in the water and continue to search for survivors. Seven people were onboard the C-130 and two in the helicopter.
