Northrop Grumman Wins C-5 Contract
The U.S. Air Force awarded Northrop Grumman a $10 million contract to provide technical services for the C-5 Galaxy's Avionics Modernization Program. The five-year contract has a base year with four one-year options. Under the contract, Northrop Grumman will provide acquisition and engineering analysis management process support, logistics/sustainment technical services and test planning. The work will be done at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. In performing the work, Northrop Grumman will employ its Enterprise Analysis and Cost Optimization System, a highly successful analytical tool that enables prioritization of modernization and sustainment investments based on aircraft availability, combat capability, total ownership costs and return on investment.
