General Dynamics Awarded Hornet Contract

The U.S. Navy awarded General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems a five-year, $27 million contract for support of mission computers in Navy F/A-18 Hornet and AV-8B Harrier. Work, which will be performed in Bloomington, Minn., will include the repair of General Dynamics’ mission computers for the F/A-18E, F/A-18F and EA-18G, and the mission systems computer for the AV-8B. Under this contract, General Dynamics will be responsible for the logistics support of the systems, including making repairs, providing spare systems and modules, arranging transportation, managing obsolescence and controlling inventories.
