Netherlands Company To Provide F-35 Wiring

Fokker Elmo of the Netherlands and Lockheed Martin signed an agreement, potentially worth $2 billion, identifying Fokker Elmo as the supplier of wiring harnesses for the F-35 Lightning II.
Under terms of the agreement, Fokker Elmo, a unit of Stork Aerospace, will provide production capabilities, support and engineering during the aircraft's Low Rate Initial Production phase, and work with Lockheed Martin to support full-rate production. The agreement represents the largest Dutch industrial cooperation agreement to date on the Joint Strike Fighter program.
“This agreement is a major milestone in the involvement of the Dutch aerospace industry in the development and production of the F-35,” said Erick Vink, Stork Aerospace executive vice president and president of NIFARP, the organization representing companies involved in the JSF program. “Right now, about 80 companies in the Netherlands are involved in the program. This contract shows again that we can consider the F-35 JSF program a success for The Netherlands".
