Rolls-Royce to Provide Engine Services for U.S. Navy T-45s
The U.S. Department of Defense awarded a $103.3 million MissionCare contract to Rolls-Royce to provide engine support for the F405 (Adour) engines of the Navy’s T-45 training aircraft.
MissionCare is the range of services offered to Rolls-Royce defense and aerospace customers.
Rolls-Royce said it will provide inventory control, logistics support and required engineering elements for the F405 engine and the aircraft gas turbine starting system.
"Our MissionCare contract with the U.S. Navy is one of our most successful partnerships and we take great pride in supporting the training of new aviators for the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps. We look forward to another successful year, working in partnership with our customer to maximize engine availability for training missions,” said Paul Craig, president of defense services at Rolls-Royce.
