Beechcraft Sells European MRO Business

Beechcraft has sold its European aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) business to the Marshal Aerospace and Defense Group, the company said Monday.

The sale will transfer ownership of the Brigton, U.K.-based Hawker Beechcraft Limited to Marshal. Marshall is looking to continue the services of the business to Beechcraft owners and operators, and also plans to broaden the range of aircraft that the facility is authorized to service.

The two companies did not disclose the value of the sale.

“This exciting acquisition will enable us to focus on developing a ‘Centre of Excellence’ for business aviation. The company’s workforce, hangars, interior workshop and customer facilities, along with its established onsite design engineering office, engine bay and state-of-the-art paint facility, are a great platform for us to build on," said Steve Jones, managing director of Marshall Aviation Services.
