Aspen Receives Bell 206/407 STC

FAA has given Aspen Avionics a supplemental type certificate (STC) to install its EFD1000H on the Bell 206 and 407. Aspen developed the STC with Keystone Helicopters. The EFD1000H is the newest member of the Evolution flight display system family designed specifically for helicopters. Aspen is partnering with Chippewa Aerospace to establish EFD1000H STCs for Robinson R22/R44s and Eurocopter AS350s. The companies anticipate approvals for the R22/44 in the second quarter of 2010 and the AS350 in the third quarter.
