AJW Technique Gains TCCA Aircraft Maintenance Approval

A J Walter Aviation’s Montreal-based subsidiary AJW Technique announced the granting of approved maintenance organization status from the Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA).

TCCA’s approval comes just five months after AJW acquired the Montreal facility formerly owned by Aveos Fleet Performance, and converted it into the company’s global aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul headquarters.

“We have been working to an aggressive timescale and this is the first step in our ramp up phase. Our objective was to start repair operations before the end of the first quarter of 2013 and we will achieve this with a clear focus on the quality and streamlining of processes for optimum turn-around times,” said Christopher Whiteside, president of AJW.

The TCCA approval paves the way for attaining approval from EASA and other regulatory authority accreditations, the company said. More
