United’s First Boeing 787 Completes Test Flight

Boeing completed an initial test flight of United Airlines’ first Boeing 787 Dreamliner on Sunday at Paine Field in Everett, Washington.

Boeing expects to deliver the 787 to United towards the end of September, making United the first North American carrier to enter the Dreamliner into service.

“During the flight, crew members examined the 787's onboard systems at high and medium altitudes. They also checked backup and safety elements, including cabin pressurization, avionics, navigation and communications systems,” said United in a press release.

Last week Boeing delivered Ethiopian Airlines’ their first 787 Dreamliner, which featured a stop at Dulles International Airport.
