Turkish Airlines Finalizes $6.9 Billion Order for Boeing 737s

Turkish Airlines' firm $6.9 billion order for the MAX and Next-Generation variants of Boeing's 737 jets has been finalized, the company said Tuesday.

The Turkish national carrier's order includes 40 737 MAX 8s, 10 737 MAX 9s, 20 Next-Generation 737-800s and options for 25 additional 737 MAX 8s. 
"We are delighted to finalize the order, which will considerably expand our fleet and contribute to our continued growth," said Temel Kotil, president and CEO of Turkish Airlines.

The latest order brings Turkish Airlines' backlog to 100 Boeing aircraft on order, including Next Generation 737s, 737 MAXs and 777-300ERs.
