StandardAero has appointed Russell Ford as its chief executive officer (CEO), effective October 15.
Ford, a former president of Carlton Forge Works and Dickson Test Group of the forged products division at Precision Castparts Corp., will take over for the Tempe, Ariz.-based aircraft maintenance provider amid recent talks that BBA Aviation was considering purchasing the company from its owner Dubai Aerospace Enterprise.
The new StandardAero CEO has served in a variety of roles, including senior vice president of operations for Lockheed Martin
and private equity companies including ClearEdge Power Inc., Prestolite Electric Inc. and Holley Performance Products Inc.
