SilkAir Finalizes Order for 54 Boeing 737s
Singapore Airlines regional subsidiary SilkAir finalized an order for 54 Boeing 737s for $4.9 billion.
The order, originally placed in August, includes firm orders for 23 of the 737-800s and 31 of the 737 MAX 8s.
"The capability of the 737s will enable us to spread our wings to even more destinations and increase capacity on existing routes," said SilkAir Chief Executive Leslie Thng.
SilkAir expects delivery of the planes to begin in 2014 and continue through 2021. More
