Partnership to Focus on Gas Turbine Development

Rolls-Royce is undertaking a joint research efforts with the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and three UK-based universities to develop skills, knowledge and materials for next-generation gas turbines. The £50-million partnership, Structural Metallic Systems for Advanced Gas Turbines, involves research, fellowships and training for material scientists and metallurgical engineers at Birmingham, Cambridge and Swansea.
