Lufthansa Technik, Oman Air Create JV

German MRO Lufthansa Technik has teamed with Oman Air to develop a joint venture that will supply technical support for the airline and other third-party operators in the region. The agreement involves construction of a new hangar at Muscat Intl Airport (MCT), with services scheduled to begin in 2012. With a staff of around 300 mechanics, the facility will offer maintenance up to a C-check for Airbus A330s, Boeing 737NGs, ATR-42s and other aircraft.
