Libyan, Sichuan Airlines Add New Airbus Jets

Airbus on Friday announced delivery milestones for Libyan Airlines and Sichuan Airlines.

Sichuan, the largest Airbus fleet operator in China, took delivery of its first A320 passenger aircraft equipped with Sharklets. The Sharklets, an option on new-build A320s, can lead to a fuel burn reduction of up to four percent.

Libya's national carrier took delivery of its first A330-200, becoming a new operator of the type. The airline plans on using the new aircraft for routes around Dubai, Jeddah, as well as European and Asian "trunk routes."
