Kaman Secures Bell Composites Deal

Bell Helicopter has awarded a $53-milion contract to Kaman Aerospace’s Helicopters division to produce composite helicopter blade skins and skin core assemblies. The arrangement covers 18 different assemblies for the following helicopters: Bell 406, 407, 412, 427, 429, 430, H1 and BA609. Kaman’s HeliworX facility in Bloomfield, Conn. will carry out the production work starting late this year.
