Huerta Sworn in as 17th FAA Chief
Michael Huerta was officially sworn in as the 17th FAA Administrator during a ceremony Wednesday by U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood.

The Senate confirmed Huerta as the agency’s permanent administrator last week, following a year serving as the interim administrator to replace Randy Babbitt who retired in December 2011.
“I want to see us eliminate every vestige of risk in our aviation system and raise the bar even higher as the safest aviation system in the world,” said Huerta during his swearing-in ceremony. More
