DOT Issues $150,000 Fine to Airtrade
The U.S. Department of Transportation issued a $150,000 penalty to online ticketing agent Airtrade for violating its code-sharing arrangement regulations.
This marks Airtrade's second code-sharing disclosure rule violation since April 2011. On both occurrences, DOT’s Aviation Enforcement Office found Airtrade failed to properly disclose code-sharing arrangements on flights operated by regional air carriers on behalf of major air carriers.
Last week, the department issued a similar fine to Travelzoo for the same violation. More
