Chanchangi Air Flies With Lufthansa Systems

The Nigerian airline Chanchangi Airlines recently joined the growing community of Lido FMS customers and will operate its flights with the comprehensive FMS (Flight Management System) data from Lufthansa Systems. The FMS database contains all important route information including altitude and airport data for optimizing routes and supporting autopilots on board modern aircraft. The navigation data, which are based on global aeronautical information, are updated and organized monthly and can be customized to specific routes and for use in any type of aircraft. The FMS database also contains important data to ensure the most efficient engine power levels, ultimately resulting in fuel savings. Lufthansa Systems can thus meet the requirements and needs of airlines. Chanchangi Airlines started its operations in 1997 and is based in Kaduna, Nigeria. With a fleet of seven aircraft, the privately owned carrier operates scheduled passenger services to the Nigerian cities Abuja, Kaduna, Lagos, Owerri and Port Harcourt as well as to Ghana.
