Boeing Selects CMC Electronics EFB

Boeing selected CMC Electronics’ 10.4-inch Class 2 Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) for its Next-Generation 737s and Boeing Business Jets, the companies said Monday. The installations will be available on production and retrofit aircraft, beginning in the third quarter in 2010. Boeing is developing a common application suite and ground infrastructure for use across Class 1, 2 and 3 EFBs. CMC’s PilotView EFB includes a LED-backlit display and self contained display-processor.
