Boeing Produces First 737 at New Rate
[Aviation Today March 20, 2014] Boeing has rolled out its first Next-Generation 737 aircraft at its newly increased rate of 42 per month.
The production rate has increased 33 percent from 31 in 2010 to the current rate of 42 due to market demand. Boeing will now perform functional, systems and flight-testing over the next three weeks prior to delivering the 737-800 to Air Berlin.
The next production increase will raise the rate to 47 per month and is projected for 2017.
