Airbus is looking to deliver more than 600 aircraft and secure orders for 700 planes in 2013, the company said in a statement Thursday.

The manufacturer will boost production of its A330 to 10 aircraft per month by the second quarter of 2013, and also predicts orders for at least 30 of its military family of aircraft this year.

In 2012 Airbus delivered a total of 588 aircraft and booked orders for 914 new jets, which exceeded its expectations for the year.

“Our focus in the coming year will be on speed, agility, simplicity, decision-making and innovation – taking full advantage of the new organization that we have put in place that retains the integration of Airbus while also empowering our teams,” said Fabrice Brégier, CEO of Airbus.

The company will also focus on launching the maiden flight of its A350 XWB aircraft, scheduled for the second half of 2013. More
