Paris: Embraer Receives Strong Demand for E2 Jets

Embraer received orders for 100 of its next-generation of E-Jets from SkyWest Inc. and 50 from International Lease Finance Corp. (ILFC) on Monday at the 2013 Paris Air Show.

The orders followed Monday's introduction of the E2 versions of Embraer's regional E-Jets family aircraft, which are scheduled for entry into service in 2018.

The SkyWest order includes options for 100 additional E-175 E2 jets, potentially worth up to $9.36 billion, while American International Group (AIG) subsidiary ILFC agreed to a commitment for 25 of the larger E-190-E2 and 25 E-195-E2 jets, along with options for the same number of aircraft.

The Brazilian manufacturer also received $709 million in orders for its current generation of E-Jets from four different airlines on Monday.
